Danville Police searching for missing man last seen a month ago

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The Danville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.

Officials said the family of Eric Bell, 56, hasn’t seen him on a month and they want to check on his health and safety. Bell is currently homeless and there is no reason to believe he is in danger, they added.

Bell is six feet tall and weighs around 170 pounds, officials said. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, sweatpants and red and white shoes. Officials added that he may go by the name “Scanner Man.”

Anyone who knows of Bell’s whereabouts is asked to contact Danville Police Detective Hahne at 217-431-2863.
