CUPHD, CredibleMind launch online mental health resource program

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Health officials in Champaign are trying to lessen the load for doctors and enhance the experience for patients when it comes to mental health.

The Champaign Urbana Public Health District and CredibleMind launched their new program to help people who may be dealing with mental illness. It’s an online program where people can take an assessment test and receive free resources to get them the the proper help they need.

“This is a tool for folks to feel more comfortable in their own skin,” said Champaign and Vermilion County Health Plan Manager JR Lill. “And, like I said, to take a little bit of pressure off of our our clinicians, our mental health providers, and our community.”
