Sanders is billing his book as a motivational text.

“Deion Sanders is one of the greatest motivators and inspirational leaders of all time—on the field, in business, with family, and in his community,” CU Boulder wrote in a release. “Now, he delivers the ultimate playbook of inspiring personal stories, winning strategies, and the motivation required to help us ‘elevate and dominate’ in all aspects of our lives.”

The book also discusses Sanders’ religious faith, respect for himself and others, and an unfettered commitment to pursuing what he believes in as he breaks down 21 inspirational ways to win at life, based on his own life experience and stories.

“Coach Prime” made stops in Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth and other cities, as well as appearances on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Kelly Clarkson Show and the Today Show to promote the book.

During his appearance on the Tonight Show, Sanders addressed some of his biggest accomplishments in the past year, including being named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year and coaching the CU Buffaloes, who had a sold-out season for the first time in almost 30 years.

Coach Prime also spoke about his new book, which he said can be read from any chapter if the reader chooses.

“We wrote it the way I talk … so the audio is like the way I talk,” Sanders told Fallon. “I’m really talking to you through this book.”

Just for the city of Boulder, CU football generated over $113 million and the school received 20% more applications this year.

“I’m happy and I’m excited about the fan base, about the student body, about the team, the coach, the staff from Colorado Boulder,” Sanders told Fallon. “Oh my God, I don’t have a bad day. Like every day is a great day, I’m coaching my kids, darn it.”
