CSPD: Two men arrested for assault at convenience store

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Saturday, May 25, officers were called to a convenience store for an assault in progress.

At around 8:45 a.m., CSPD responded to the 1000 block of South Nevada Avenue, near I-25, where they found a victim who had allegedly been assaulted by two men. The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack.

According to CSPD, Officer R. Gonzalez was checking the downtown area around 9:50 a.m., and located the two suspects walking in the 1600 block of S. Nevada, near Cheyenne Boulevard. The suspects, Deonte Bridges and Kristopher Jackson-Smith were identified as the alleged assailants and were taken into custody for felony assault charges.
