CSPD: Two killed, one injured in overnight shooting

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said two people were killed after an overnight shooting on Friday, May 17 and at this time no suspect has been arrested.

According to CSPD, on Thursday, May 16 at around 10:15 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of North Murray Boulevard between East Platte Avenue and Pikes Peak Avenue about a shooting.

When officers arrived they found three people who had gunshot wounds, one person was dead on the scene. Two people were taken to the hospital, where a second person died. The third victim had a serious non-life-threatening injury.

Police said at this time, no suspect is in custody but the shooting is not believed to be a random act of violence. The CSPD Homicide Unit is investigating and is working on developing suspect information.
