Crews respond to large brush fire in Allegheny County park

Several fire departments responded to a large brush fire inside of an Allegheny County Park Tuesday afternoon.

Allegheny County 911 officials say crews were called to Hartwood Acres Park in Hampton Township around 1:15 p.m.

The Allegheny County Police Department says the fire was near a trail and grew to be about 100 by 100 yards.

The fire is under control.

One firefighter sustained a heat-related injury.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
