MFD: Strip mall fire began on roof, no content loss or injuries reported

UPDATE: The Memphis Fire Department has provided more information regarding the strip mall fire from Friday night.

According to a press release, firefighters cite the origin of the fire as the exterior roof. None of the contents of the structure were damaged besides the exterior on the roof.

In terms of estimated damage, they say that the building loss is unknown, but there was no content loss.

They were able to get the fire under control at 8:55 p.m.

No civilian or firefighter injuries have been reported.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Emergency crews responded to a fire at a business in the Wolfchase area Friday night.

The Memphis Fire Department responded to a strip mall on Wolf Creek Parkway off of North Germantown Parkway just before 9 p.m.

WREG crews spotted several fire trucks as well as a Memphis Police squad car. A large part of the area has been blocked off.

The fire department has not released details on the fire at this time.
