WCSO deputies arrested 36-year-old Bryan D. Reed of Crestview late Tuesday evening after the VICE/Narcotics Unit received information that he was traveling to DeFuniak Springs with “a large quantity of drugs,” according to a release.

When investigators found Reed’s vehicle in DeFuniak Springs, they reportedly detained him and deployed a K9 to search for the presence of narcotics.

The K9 indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle and a subsequent search found 12 ounces of methamphetamine and 28 grams of marijuana in a backpack that was in the backseat of the SUV, the release said.

He was issued a $100,000 bond, according to the Walton County Jail log, and officials said he is still behind bars.
