Crash on westbound US 290 blocks lanes near West Gate Boulevard

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A crash on westbound U.S. 290 in south Austin blocked lanes Friday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

TxDOT said all lanes were closed just before West Gate Boulevard. Traffic was being diverted to South Lamar Boulevard.

The Austin Police Department said officers were responding to the crash. The agency described the crash as being in the 2400 block of West Ben White Boulevard westbound, which is near South Lamar and 360.

APD said all lanes from this area to 360 were also closed.
