Crash on Dale Avenue SE cleared in Roanoke

UPDATE: 7:35 A.M. ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — VDOT says the earlier reported crash on Dale Avenue SE is now cleared.

All east lanes are back open.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Drivers traveling in the Southeast area of Roanoke can expect delays after a crash on Thursday morning.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash occurred on Route 24, Dale Avenue, near 19th Street SE. This is near Fallon Park.

Currently, all east lanes are closed and traffic is starting to back up in the area.

Drivers are encouraged to find alternative routes of travel, until the crash is cleared.
