Four injured after police chase in Columbia County

GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— On Friday, police conducted a traffic stop which turned into a police chase, according to the report.

Just before 7:00 P.M., Pennsylvania State Police say they conducted a stop for a traffic violation.

Fatal crash involving bus in Schuylkill County

Authorities say the vehicle failed to yield leading to a pursuit on state Route 254, and ended in Greenwood Township where the suspect crashed.

All four occupants of the vehicle were taken to Geisnger Medical center for non-lifethreatning injuries. One occupant was relased, while the other three are in stable condition, according to troopers.

The investigation to identify the occupants is ongoing.

PennDOT said Route 254 was closed between Bowmans Mill Road (Route 4037) and the intersection of Rohrsburg Road Route (4041/254) and Zaners Bridge Road Route (1022) i, but has since been reopened.
