CPD: Missing woman last seen on Near West Side may need medical attention

CHICAGO — Police are asking for help in the search for a missing woman who officers say may be in need of medical attention.

According to Chicago police, 67-year-old Sophorina Smith was last seen on Monday in the 2600 block of West Warren Boulevard on the city’s Near West Side.

Smith was last seen wearing a beige jacket, a pink shirt, and a black and white skirt.

Officers say the missing woman, who stands 5-foot-7 and weighs around 160 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities notified the public about Smith’s disappearance in a news release late Monday night.
