Coroner identifies McFarland woman who died in Wasco crash

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The coroner’s office has released the identity of a McFarland woman who died in a crash on McCombs Road on Feb. 1.

The coroner identified Rosa Cristina Almaraz Valencia, 18, as the passenger of the sedan that was struck by a semi-truck at the intersection of McCombs Road and Scofield Avenue.

According to the office, Valencia’s cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma and her manner of death has been ruled an accident.

The crash injured three other people. The driver of the sedan was taken to a hospital for treatment.
