Coroner ID’s man killed in racecar crash at Rosamond track

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a man who was killed in a racecar crash over the weekend at the Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond.

Coroner officials say Andrew Taylor Kessel, 37, of Daly City, was the driver of a racecar involved in a crash at the raceway on March, 23.

The crash was reported around 12:40 p.m. and Kessel was pronounced dead at the scene, according to coroner officials.

17 News contacted officials at the raceway for more information about the incident but referred 17 News to the coroner’s report.
