Coroner called to an incident near Lehigh River
CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A coroner has been called to the scene of a tubing incident near the Lehigh River.
According to Carbon County Communications Center, the incident happened around 1:20 p.m. along the Lehigh River near Lehighton.
One dead after a fatal DUI crash in Carbon County
Officials confirm a coroner and dive teams from multiple agencies have been called to the scene.
The Carbon County Coroner states that 44-year-old Chad Mumbauer from Bethlehem was pronounced dead at 3:20 p.m. by Deputy Coroner Jason Nicholas.
Mumbauer was along the D-L trail and Lehigh River, Parryville Borough, officials noted.
The release explains there is an autopsy scheduled for May 27 and this incident is being investigated.
