Construction continues on Johnstown Expressway

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – There will be a detour and ramp closures on state Route 56, the Johnstown Expressway, through Friday.

The Route 56 westbound ramp from U.S. 219 South and the Route 56 ramp eastbound to U.S. 219 South will be closed, according to an announcement made by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. A traffic detour will be in place using Solomon Run Road and Galleria Drive.

The work is part of an ongoing $14.7 million construction project on the highway located in Richland and Stonycreek townships and the city of Johnstown.
