Construction closes a section of Town Branch Trail

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Fayetteville city officials announced that a part of the Town Branch Trail will be closed and detoured starting Monday, April 29.

In a news release, it was stated that the changes come as part of the upcoming 15th Street-Interstate 49 overpass project by the Arkansas Department of Transportation.

“A three-quarter mile stretch of the Town Branch Trail – from W. Best Way Street to S. Beechwood Ave. – is anticipated to be closed until July. During that time, trail traffic will be directed on sidewalks along S. Hollywood Ave. to 15th and back to S. Beechwood to rejoin the trail,” the release states.

Those using the trail can follow the detour signs that will be installed.

The construction changes will be replacing and installing water and sewer lines.
