Congresswoman Escobar gives $2.7M grant to Town of Anthony

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, will be presenting a $2.7 million grant to the Town of Anthony and the Anthony Texas Police Department.

According to the news release, the grant will be used to update the water sewer plant, remove arsenic and update technology for the police department.

Escobar will be giving the check at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23 at 401 Wildcat Drive in Anthony, Texas.

The Town of Anthony and the Police Department applied for the Consolidated Appropriations Act grant and this was one of the 14 community funding projects selected, according to a news release from the Anthony Texas Police Department.
