Community Spotlight: Birth-3 Mom’s Night Out in Mattoon
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — For Tuesday morning’s Community Spotlight, Katrina Farris and Nancy Jeisy spoke with Amanda Brennan about the Mattoon School District’s Birth-3 Program and their upcoming “Mom’s Night Out” event.
The event celebrates the mothers within the program. It will take place on May 23 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the LIFT building (121 South 17th Street, Mattoon). It will feature coffee and spritzers from Milk & Honey, meditation and charcuterie board lessons, and door prizes.
Mattoon schools get $10K for new security cameras
Each attendee will receive a gift basket full of gift cards and goodies provided by local businesses and organizations.
Children may also attend the event. They will enjoy pizza and doughnut holes while they create a Mother’s Day craft.
