COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus Metropolitan Library is opening a newly constructed branch this week.

The Reynoldsburg branch will open after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. In 2022, the former library building dating to 1980 was demolished, making way for the new building — at the same 1402 Brice Road location — nearly double the previous building’s size.

Columbus Metropolitan Library is rebuilding multiple branches, with construction on the new Barnett branch beginning in May and the Gahanna branch opening in 2023. A new branch in Linden is under construction.
