Columbia County Spring Fair is back for 4th year

GROVETOWN, Ga (WJBF)- Starting this weekend, the 4th annual Columbia County Spring Fair is back.

The fair is full of family fun. There are rides. There are petting zoos, a demolition derby, characters from Wardrobe of Wishes, and so much more. And of course, everyone’s favorite fair food!

Proceeds from the fair, sponsored by the Merchants Association of Columbia County, will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

Other charities supported by the Fall Fair include 4H Club-Columbia County Extension, Hope Women’s Center, Columbia County Day with a Deputy and The RECing Crew.

Club Car celebrates new manufacturing facility in Appling

The Merchants Association of Columbia County also sponsors The Miss Columbia County Fair Pageant, The Martinez-Evans Christmas Parade (to be held on Sunday, December 8th this year) The Ruby Lane/Terry Davis Memorial Classic Golf Tournament and other community events.

The fair opens Friday, April 19 starting at 5 p.m. at the Columbia County Fairgrounds at 5462 Columbia Rd in Grovetown. It runs through Sunday, April 28.

After 7 p.m., kids 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. There are no backpacks or animals (unless it’s a service animal) allowed. Proper attire is required.
