COLTS to show appreciation in upcoming week-long event

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A public bus transportation service is showing appreciation for its passengers.

The County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) COLTS will hold a week-long event honoring its riders from May 6 through May 11.

The event will include free fares next Wednesday.

It’s part of a statewide rider appreciation initiative developed in coordination with the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association and transit agencies across the Commonwealth.

There will also be opportunities throughout the week to win free bus passes

“All during next week we are going to be doing promotions giveaways. There’s going to be some surprise guest ride-alongs. Maybe champ from the rail riders may be on one of the buses next week,” said COLTS Chief Communications and Compliance Officer Keri Savage.

COLTS says to look for ways to win prizes on social media next week, too.
