Colorado DMV temporarily impacted in nationwide outage

DENVER (KDVR) — A nationwide outage with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators affected the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles on Thursday.

The DMV warned Coloradans who had an appointment at a state driver’s license office to reschedule.

According to a release from the Colorado DMV, most driver’s license services were affected, including online options.

Knowledge tests, endorsement tests, commercial driver’s license instruction permit tests, scheduling hearings and requesting records were not impacted.

Just before 1 p.m., the Colorado DMV announced that its services were fully resumed after a technical issue causing nationwide outages was resolved.
