Coffee County Commissioner Frank “Al” Britt passes away at 72

COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Longtime Coffee County District 4 Commissioner, Frank “Al” Britt passed away at his home on Saturday night at 72.

According to his obituary, Britt passed away at his home surrounded by his wife and kids at his Chancellor home.

Britt was elected to serve on the Coffee County Commission in November 2008 and served there for 16 years. He was also an avid farmer, owning Britt Farms with a mission to leave the farm in better condition than when he took over, and family members in his obituary said he did just that.

He entered this arena very knowledgeable about county government, the agricultural industry, and financial matters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Enterprise.
