Cloudy, cool day kicks off weekend in NYC

NEW YORK (PIX11) — The weekend kicked off with plenty of sunshine in the New York City area but clouds are expected to increase as a storm system approaches the area on Saturday.

A shower could develop in some locations during the evening and linger into early Sunday. The afternoon highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s.

The warm trend across the region begins on Sunday. The temperatures will be in the 70s with partly sunny skies and dry conditions.

Monday will feel like summer when temperatures hit the 80s.
