Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – Clouds decrease for the overnight before returning as we anticipate showers this weekend. Then we dry up for Easter Sunday. More details below:

TONIGHT:

Clouds will be on the decrease for the evening and into the overnight. We will be staying on the dry side, but it will be chilly with lows in the upper twenties to near thirty with a breeze from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY:

We round out the work week on Friday with a mixture of clouds and sun. It will be a bit cooler out with highs in the upper forties to near fifty. It will also be breezier with winds from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.

HOLY WEEKEND:

Showers will be with us to start off the weekend on Saturday especially in the afternoon. Clouds move in late morning and into the afternoon. Highs on Satuday will be in the mid to upper fifties. We end the weekend on Easter with mostly cloudy skies. It will be a little cooler out with highs in the lower fifties.

NEW WORK WEEK:

Mostly cloudy skies will remain across the region to start off the new work week on Monday. Highs will reach the lower to mid fifties on Monday. Scattered showers will move in on Tuesday morning and will last throughout the day. Skies will be overcast with highs in the lower fifties. Shower chances will persist into midweek on Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to fall with highs in the upper forties to near fifty. Chances for showers will linger into Thursday as well. Highs on Thursday will only reach the mid to upper forties.
