Clint ISD, partner hosts education meeting

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — “Raise Your Hands Texas,” in partnership with Clint ISD, will be hosting an event for the community on public education on Monday, May 6, according to a press release from the organization.

The “El Paso Education Celebration” will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Clint ISD School Board Room, at 14521 Horizon Blvd.

According to the news release, the event aims to have the community talk about present and future initiatives to provide better public education in Texas.

State Sen. Cesar Blanco, D-El Paso, will also be present at the event, “focusing on legislative updates for public education in Texas,” according to the press release.

Students from Clint ISD are able to have a Q&A session with the senator.

Raise Your Hands is a nonprofit organization that “educates, engages, and activates Texans through public education and advocacy,” according to its website.
