Clean Out & Recycle Day happening in Bay Minette Saturday
BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — Bay Minette is hosting its Clean Out & Recycle Day on Saturday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Wawa opens in Fairhope with a dance party, confetti, and a hoagie-building competition
The event will offer residents an opportunity to get rid of unwanted items for free at City Hall, according to a release from Bay Minette officials.
Some of the things residents can get rid of include:
grease
aluminum
metals
cardboard
electronics
ink cartridge
soda tabs
A clean-out station will offer a shredder for people to shred documents and files. There will be a drop-off for tires and the Bay Minette Police Department will be at the event to accept outdated and unwanted medications to dispose of.
The Bay Minette Fire Department will also be at the event to offer free child safety seat inspections. City staff and volunteers will be at the event to help at different clean-out stations.
United Cerebral Palsy will be collecting electronics at their recycle booth. They will be accepting:

Live music returns to Historic Blakeley State Park — folk music this Friday
The Bay Minette Public Library will be accepting and recycling ink cartridges.
A collection booth will be set up to accept soda tabs to support the Ronald McDonald House in Mobile, which recycles the tabs to raise money for the non-profit, the release said.
