Classes canceled at Rochester City School District after boil-water notice issued

Wednesday classes are canceled at all Rochester City School District locations after a boil-water notice was issued when a dead body was found in the Highland Park Reservoir Tuesday morning.

All school-related activities are also canceled and staff will not have to report.

Emergency responders were alerted that a body was found in the Highland Park reservoir around 8 a.m. and the Rochester Police Department's scuba team recovered what appeared to be a deceased adult from the water, said Rochester Police Capt. Greg Bello.

City officials said that the Water Bureau will drain and clean the reservoir.
