City issues gas main line replacements traffic alert

Apr. 17—The City of Odessa issued a traffic alert Wednesday for gas main line replacements.

Beginning Monday, April 22, there will be a lane closure on S. Dixie and multiple alley closures on Honeysuckle Street and Sherwood Street for Driver Pipeline (contractor for Atmos Energy), who will be working on gas main line replacements. The closures, including installation, backfill, testing, and asphalt patching, are expected to take up to six weeks to complete.

Citizens are asked to follow all traffic control devices, use alternate routes if needed, and expect delays while construction is in progress. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Atmos Energy at (888)286-6700.

S. Dixie Lane Closure:

Right-hand lane closure for northbound traffic along S. Dixie Blvd. between E. Odessa Street and Honeysuckle Street.

Honeysuckle Street Alley Closure:

Alley closure between South Dixie Blvd. & Terlingua Avenue and between E. Monahans Street and Honeysuckle Street.

Sherwood Street Double Alley Closure:

Double alley closure between Sherwood Street & Wilson Street and between Pine Avenue & Foster Avenue.
