What will the weather be like this weekend for Asian Food Fest?

According to the National Weather Service office in Wilmington, precipitation chances will develop Friday afternoon and increase through the night as a warm front moves through the region.

Moisture is expected to increase with a band of showers and possibly some embedded thunderstorms moving into the area late afternoon and evening. Temperatures will warm, with highs ranging from the upper 60s northwest to the upper 70s southeast.

A chance for rain will continue Friday evening, but coverage will be more limited. Mild lows will generally be in the upper 50s.

Warm temperatures and mainly dry conditions are in store for the Ohio Valley region this weekend.

Precipitation chances will diminish by Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will warm to around 10 degrees above average, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80. Breezy conditions develop with south winds gusting up to 35 mph.

Sunday temperatures will rise to the low to mid-80s. The threat of showers and thunderstorms returns Monday as a cold front approaches from the west.

East wind 5 to 11 mph, becoming south in the afternoon.There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 59. South wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts to less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Breezy, with a south wind of 14 to 20 mph. Partly cloudy at night, with a low of around 63. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 10 to 14 mph. Mostly clear at night, with a low of around 63.

Monday: There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday: Showers are likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. It will be partly sunny, with a high near 80. The chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday: There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 82. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 79. The chance of precipitation is 40%.
