Churchland High School closes Thursday due to transformer going out

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – A transformer going out Thursday morning at Churchland High School caused officials to close the school.

The transformer outage left the building without power, internet and phone access.

According to officials, students had to be bussed back home.

Students are expected to return to Churchland High School Friday, April 26.
