Lucid Motors is laying off about 400 employees, or roughly 6% of its workforce, as part of a restructuring ahead of the launch of its first electric SUV later this year. The company said in a regulatory filing on Friday morning that it expects to complete the restructuring by the end of the third quarter and that it will cost between $21 million and $25 million. The new round of cuts comes a little more than a year after Lucid Motors slashed 1,300 jobs.

US pharma giant Cencora says Americans' health information stolen in data breach
U.S. pharmaceutical giant Cencora says it is notifying affected individuals that their personal and highly sensitive medical information was stolen during a cyberattack and data breach earlier this year. In letters to affected individuals sent out this week, Cencora said that the data from its systems includes patient names, their postal address and date of birth, as well as information about their health diagnosis and medications. The pharma giant said it had initially obtained patients' data through partnerships with the drug makers it works with "in connection with its patient support programs."

Foursquare, the location-focused outfit that in 2020 merged with Factual, another location-focused outfit, is joining the parade of companies to make cuts to one of its biggest cost centers – employees – in 2024. Per an email sent out to staffers Thursday afternoon by current CEO Gary Little and viewed by TechCrunch, 105 employees were just let go as the company seeks to “streamline” its operations, and “set the company on more sustainable financial footing.” Impacted employees saw their system access removed upon receipt of Foursquare’s notification email.
