Chester County crash involving two motorcycles kills one, injures another: SCHP

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One motorcyclist has died and another is injured after a crash in Chester County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Around 3:05 p.m. on Friday, May 24, crews responded to a crash involving two motorcycles on US-321 near Armenia Road.

A 1998 Harley Davidson and a 2015 Yamaha were driving south on US-321. Officials say the driver of the Yamaha attempted to pass the Harley Davidson, but side-swiped in the same direction, causing both vehicles to overturn.

The driver of the Yamaha died at the scene, highway patrol said. The driver of the Harley Davidson was taken by a helicopter to a local hospital.
