The Memorial Day three-day weekend is here, well, after we get past today.

If your plans include outdoor activities, be prepared for very hot and mostly dry conditions around the state. Some areas could see near-record temperatures

If you're still making your plans, here's the weather forecast around Florida to help you decide, along with our interactive map showing water quality and health advisories for wherever you may go.

For most of Florida, expect above-normal temperatures in the 90s, with the heat index up to 107 in some locations. Some areas could see a few storms Saturday and a cold front is expected to move into the Panhandle and North Florida late on Memorial Day.

Panhandle: Expect temperatures to be warm, with high temperatures in the low 90s and climbing into the mid 90s in some locations. Along the coast, expect temperatures in the mid 80s. A weak cold front is expected to move into the area Memorial Day and into Tuesday. Rain chances are near zero into next next.

North Florida: The main concerns during the Memorial Day Weekend is the potential for severe weather on Saturday afternoon and evening in the Tallahassee area and stretching toward Jacksonville. The main threats could be damaging wind gusts; isolated large hail also is possible. Expect above-average temperatures. Dry weather returns Sunday but temperatures will remain above-average in the 90s with a heat index approaching 100. A cold front is forecast to approach the area Monday, bringing the potential for strong thunderstorms late on Memorial Day in the Tallahassee area and going into Tuesday. It'll be mostly dry and hot conditions Monday in the Jacksonville area, with highs in the mid to upper 90s before the arrival of the cold front brings some relief Tuesday.

Central Florida: There's a "limited to elevated risk for excessive heat" during the holiday weekend, with temperatures forecast to climb into the 90s and a heat index between 100 and 107. Conditions remain dry, leading to sensitive fire weather conditions, and some counties have issued burn bans. There's a moderate risk for dangerous rip currents. "Take extra precaution if participating in outdoor activities this Memorial Day weekend. Take frequent breaks in shaded or air conditioned areas and stay hydrated," the National Weather Service Melbourne recommended.

South Florida: High temperatures on Saturday through Memorial Day could approach daily records across the east coast metro areas as they will rise into the lower to mid 90s. Heat indices could range between 100 and 105 over the entire holiday weekend, with the highest values over the interior. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible through the the weekend and into next week. The chance for some short-lived showers is limited Sunday and on Memorial Day.

Southwest Florida: Expect conditions to be hot and dry over the holiday weekend, with temperatures in the low to mid 90s and some areas seeing temperatures climb into the upper 90s. A few showers and storms will be possible inland on Saturday afternoon.
