MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Changes of venue and hosts are in place for the 14th Annual Shirley Looney Memorial Car Show.

The show, traditionally held at Dauphin Way Baptist Church is changing hands. According to a press release, the Deep South Region AACA car club has stepped up to host the car show at 8 a.m. on March 30 at Langan Park.

Officials say that this year’s show will mix things up a bit. “The show will feature many of the events that vintage car lovers expect such as great door prizes and a 50/50 drawing, but this show promises much more.”

In addition to vintage and modern cars and trucks, organizers say this is the first year that the show is open to motorcycles.

“I am so excited about the big changes coming to this great old show,” said Co-chair of the 14th Annual Shirley Looney Memorial Car Show, Deana Landry.

According to the release, the show also features a chance for car lovers to win some awards. Officials say the Best of Show winner will receive a 6-foot-tall trophy and a cash prize of $250.

In addition to the competition, attendees to the show can browse a silent auction featuring vintage items and items donated by Mobile businesses. Mike’s American Muscle Cars will provide entertainment at the show. Guests can also enjoy barbecue, hamburgers, hotdogs, and homemade ice cream while at the show.

Registration to the event is $25 for the first vehicle and $10 for each additional vehicle, according to the release.

Profits from the show are set to be divided equally between the Deep South Region and the Adam Looney Foundation. Organizers say funds raised for the Deep South Region will be used to host events that are free to the public.
