In Sacramento County, forecasts show that the northern portion of the county could see some light hail, lightning, pockets of heavy rain and gusty winds.

All of Placer, El Dorado, Yuba, Nevada , Amador and Butte counties look to be in the direct forecasted area of the thunderstorms.

These thunderstorms coincide with the NWS forecast for scattered showers throughout the valley that are only expected to bring at most half an inch of rain to Sacramento.
