Central Ohio restaurateur to launch new create-your-own stir fry eatery

LEWIS CENTER, Ohio (WCMH) — A Columbus restaurateur who owns a trio of Asian fusion eateries in central Ohio is expanding with a new create-your-own stir fry restaurant.

WY Mongolian Grill is opening this spring at 833 Columbus Pike in Lewis Center, taking over a 6,000-square-foot building previously home to Asian Garden Buffet. The eatery adds to owner Justin Ye’s rolodex of central Ohio restaurants, with Wild Ginger Asian Fusion locations operated by Ye in Hilliard, the Dublin Green development and his most recent near Polaris Fashion Place.

Unlike Wild Ginger’s traditional restaurant model, WY Mongolian Grill will be a create-your-own stir fry eatery where customers can pick their own ingredients before the dish is cooked on a large central grill. The concept is similar to BD’s Mongolian Grill, which has a location in Dublin and at Easton Town Center.

Customers will select the base for their bowl, like noodles or rice, and choose from a variety of protein, vegetables and sauces. The Mongolian grill will also feature combination suggestions for the create-your-own stir fry, a set menu of Chinese dishes and an all-you-can-eat buffet.

The Columbus Pike restaurant is currently undergoing renovations with an expected opening this spring.
