Celebs Go Dating is set to return this year and talk has turned to which stars might sign up.

The E4 dating series - which sees matchmakers picking potential suitors for celebs – started in 2016 and since then a host of stars have taken part, including the likes of Joey Essex, Gemma Collins, Kerry Katona and Ulrika Jonsson.

The last series saw Vanessa Feltz and Adam Collard among those looking for love.

So who might we see on the show this year?

Ella Morgan made history last year when she became the first transgender contestant to appear on Married At First Sight (MAFS). And according to The Sun she is set to do it again on Celebs Go Dating.

When she was on MAFS, Morgan was paired with Nathanial Valentino, but she later got close to JJ Slater, who is now romancing Katie Price. Price and JJ Slater are even talking about marriage. On the MAFS reunion, Morgan was in tears over her split from Slater. She said: : "There are still feels there for me, (the split) has just been hard to swallow. If I had my way I would be walking back (into the reunion) with him."

It's thought she is currently single and with E4's Celebs Go Dating returning later this year, she is reported to be in the mix.

Morgan could be on our TV a lot this year if that's the case as she also expressed a desire to do Strictly Come Dancing. She told The Mirror that she would "absolutely love" to do Strictly following the rumours.

She told the publication: "I've not really had experience but I think I've got some moves. I would absolutely love to do it and I would love to be the first trans person to represent my community. I probably would last one week, but yes I would love to do it."

While the line-up has yet to be officially confirmed, the rumour mill is in overdrive about who might go on the programme.

And as well as Morgan, there has been talk about Made In Chelsea's Tristan Phipps signing up. If Phipps does sign up he could ask his former flame Olivia Bentley for tips. The star, who was also on Made In Chelsea, went on the E4 dating programme herself in 2020.

Another star thought to be a possible contestant is Love Island’s Hannah Elizabeth. It's been almost ten years since she burst onto our screens on Love Island's original series. She was one of the singles on the show in 2015 and last year she returned for the All Stars edition.

In the first series of Love Island, Elizabeth famously got engaged to her summer soulmate Jon Clark who popped the question on the TV show. Their love wasn't meant to last as they broke up a few months after taking their relationship to the outside world.

On their much-talked about engagement, she said: "It was almost ten years ago and I was in that proper whirlwind kind of love, now that I’m that bit older I try to take things a little slower."

While she didn't find true love of either of her stints in the villa, Elizabeth apparently impressed TV bosses. And in recent days there have been rumours about her having talks about joining Celebs Go Dating.

As well as being a social media star and reality TV star, she's a mum to her four-year-old son Reggie who she shares with her former fiancé George Andreetti.

The show sees a group of celebrities embarking on a journey to find love. Potential partners are handpicked for them by the Celebrity Dating Agency, and they get help and advice along the way from dating experts such as TV presenter Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson, who is a life coach and professional matchmaker.

The pair were both experts in the 2023 series, with the help of Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.

Yahoo has contacted Channel 4 for comment on the new series.
