Car crashes into El Portal Mexican Grill

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — El Portal Mexican Grill in west Bakersfield is back open after a car crashed through the lobby during Saturday’s lunch hour.

Video from the scene shows the car being pulled from the impact site. Luckily, no one was sitting on the front bench or in the lobby when the vehicle crashed through the wall of the business located at the intersection of Calloway Drive and Brimhall Road, according to the restaurant manager.

Off-road vehicles crash head-on in Jawbone, 1 person airlifted to a hospital: KCFD

The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the crash. No arrests were made.

Restaurant staff quickly made temporary repairs and made a temporary wall in order to stay open.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factors in the crash, according to CHP.

WSO2, a company that provides API management and identity and access management (IAM) services for enterprises, has been acquired by Swedish investment giant EQT. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but TechCrunch has learned via sources that the deal values WSO2 at "more than" $600 million, with EQT attaining a "significant majority" stake for the price. WSO2's products include an open source API manager, comparable to something like Google's Apigee, which businesses use for building and integrating all their digital services, either in the cloud or on-premises.
