Calmer winds and warmer temperatures for the weekend

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- A great weekend forecast ahead after this week’s storms! Winds will continue to calm down today, with occasional gusts up to 15 mph. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the 70s, but a few areas could see 80s.

Readings will continue to heat up for the end of the weekend. By Sunday afternoon, highs jump into the mid to upper 80s. A few passing clouds will be possible throughout the day but not enough to ruin the day.

Afternoon highs will stay warm through the 7 day forecast, and lows start to heat into the 60s by Wednesday morning. A short wave moving through Wednesday could bring a few sporadic showers.

Another frontal system is set to move in at the end of next week by Friday. There is still uncertainty about the amount of rain we will see from this system.
