Calm end to April, showers and storms may return soon

ST. LOUIS – Calm conditions are back for a couple of days, but we’ll ring in the first week of May with some showers.

Spot storms and scattered showers are expected at various times from Thursday to the end of the weekend. There will be spotty chances of storms on Wednesday and Thursday, but Thursday evening into Friday looks to be the highest risk of rain and storms for the foreseeable future.

With several inches of rain likely widespread across the Midwest, we will keep an eye on major rivers as they start to rise. Minor flooding is possible in some spots around the St. Louis metro.

High temperatures will hover around the 70s to the low 80s for the next several days.
