BTS crushed last night’s AMAs, and you can watch their performance here

You might want to update your iTunes playlists. South Korean boy band BTS rocked the AMAs yesterday with their very first performance broadcast in America, and to say that people were blown away would be an understatement. The song they performed is called “DNA,” off their latest album Love Yourself: Her. The album notably made it onto the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart in September. It’s a pretty big recognition, especially since BTS is the only Korean group to rank. They’re also the very first K-pop band to play at the AMAs, thus making history.

Here’s a little about the band. BTS stands for Beyond The Scene, as well as Bangtan Boys. The group consists of seven talented guys born in the ’90s who, on social media, already have a combined 13 million followers.

The band consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, RM, V and Jungkook, who were reportedly recruited through Big Hit Entertainment’s “Hit it” auditions held in 2010 and 2011. Their first album, 2 Cool 4 Skool, was released in 2013. From there, their popularity only grew. Aside from their catchy music, they’re also great with their choreography — as their performance at the AMAs proves.

As many of us just heard about the band last night, it makes sense that the band would want their debut performance on an American television broadcast to be electric.

Actor Jared Leto, who was a presenter at the show, was pretty impressed with what he saw.

As Leto’s also a musician, providing vocals for the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, we have a feeling he knows talent when he sees it.

Twitter was also abuzz after the performance.

After the awards, Billboard got a chance to chat with the band, who thought the performance went by pretty quickly. But they also revealed that more new music was on the way.

We have a feeling that this was just the first performance of many, many more to come.
