Bruce Springsteen’s Drummer, Max Weinberg, Lists Florida Mansion for $5.25 Million

The longtime drummer for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, Max Weinberg, has flipped quite a few houses in his day, and most recently he put a Delray Beach, Florida, mansion on the market for $5.25 million, just about two years after he purchased it for $4 million.

Built in 2013, the 7,700-square-foot house has been thoughtfully renovated under Weinberg’s watch. The musician added a custom sound room with state-of-the-art equipment like acoustic fabric walls to prevent sound pollution, and he also upgraded the main kitchen (there are two butler’s kitchens as well!) to include a six-burner stove and an oversized white marble island. The exterior of the home remains mostly the same, boasting a Bermuda Colonial style with largely white walls and bright blue trim. The mansion has six bedrooms and six bathrooms, plus an open-floor-plan living-and-dining space with beamed wood ceilings and entire walls of glass sliders that open out onto the backyard loggia. Other rooms of note on the ground floor include a home gym, an office with built-in cabinetry, and a screening room.

The second floor, accessible via a set of stairs or an elevator, is where all six bedrooms are located, including the master suite, which is spacious and comprises a sitting area (that could easily be converted into a second home office) and a master bathroom with an ultra-modern, deep, round soaking tub and a separate two-person glass-enclosed shower. A wraparound veranda on the second floor offers up stunning views of the surrounding greenery. Out back the home is perfectly outfitted for entertaining, with an outdoor dining area, a sitting area, and an outdoor kitchen and grill located under the shaded loggia as well as an impressive stone firepit surrounded by carved stone seating. A pool and a spa are joined by a new swim-training machine that Weinberg had installed as part of the renovations. And perhaps one of the home’s quirkier amenities is an expansive dog run that takes up one entire side of the home.

Weinberg has previously bought and sold properties in Los Angeles, New York City, and Palm Beach, Florida, and he told the Wall Street Journal in 2016, “I’ve bought and sold about 36 homes; lived in maybe like three of them.” He reportedly resides in his native New Jersey.
