Brittany Robinson’s dad in Mobile Metro Jail after Oklahoma City arrest

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — After being arrested in Oklahoma City in connection with her disappearance, Brittany Robinson’s father is back in Mobile and back in Metro Jail.

Demetric Hooper was arrested in February after the Cold Case Investigation Team presented the case to a grand jury and got an indictment for Hooper.

It’s been 12 years since Brittany Robinson was last seen with her biological father, according to the Mobile Police Department. Her mother reported her missing on June 22, 2012.

Brittany was 14 years old when she was dropped off at Hooper’s home on McCovery Road. She was supposed to be visiting Hooper for only two days.

Hooper left town almost immediately after Robinson was reported missing. Authorities located Hooper at a mental health facility in Arkansas in September of that year. Hooper allegedly suffered from schizophrenia and was getting treatment there.
