Britain’s most popular chocolate bar revealed
Forget chocolate laced with popping candy or swirling caramel, the humble Cadbury Dairy Milk has been crowned Britain’s favourite chocolate bar.
According to a new study by VoucherCodes, the classic chocolate bar which was first produced in 1905 is by far the nation’s favourite, beating the likes of Twix, Crunchie and Toblerone.
In fact, chocolate fans apparently make their way through 22 bars of Dairy Milk per person a year, and 1,317 over the course of their lifetime.
Snickers, Bounty, Flake and Twirl made the top five, while Munchies was down the bottom at number 30.

Since the invention of Dairy Milk, Cadbury has made tons of variations to the original recipe, from caramel, to whole nut, to the classic tiffin, and even a jelly popping candy flavour.
More recently they announced the launch of Dairy Milk Oreo Sandwich, the classic chocolate bar sandwiched between two Oreo halves. YUM.
According to Divine Chocolate we eat an estimated 660,900 tonnes of chocolate a year in the UK, with the average person consuming 11kg a year (around three bars a year). Not bad UK...
