Bridget Moynahan and Gisele Bündchen are both using their platforms to raise awareness to an important cause.

Amid the ongoing crisis in Brazil caused by widespread flooding, the 31-year-old Blue Bloods star reposted a video on Instagram from Global Citizen, sharing resources to assist the Brazilian state Rio Grande do Sul following heavy rains that left towns submerged in water and more than 160,000 people displaced. According to the post, the flooding has also destroyed paths of transportation and triggered landslides.

Moynahan's post comes two days after Bündchen — who, like the actress, is a former longtime partner of Tom Brady — pled on Instagram for her fans to donate to the Luz Alliance Fund, an initiative she spearheaded to provide humanitarian relief to Brazil during the pandemic.

In an Instagram Reel containing footage from the devastation in her native Brazil, Bündchen, 43, called the disaster “the worst tragedy in its history.” She detailed that “more than 350 cities” were affected, causing people to not only lose their livelihoods and homes but “everything.”

“There are many still to be rescued. Nobody was ready for such devastation," she said in the video. "Many have been separated from their loved ones. And the saddest is that many lives were lost. It’s painful. It’s devastating."

Bündchen ended the video by asking her followers to help “in any way” they can.

"Let’s all join together to help the thousands of people who need us. No amount is too small. Together we can make a difference," she wrote in a call-to-action at the end of the clip.

Earlier this week, a source told PEOPLE that part of the reason the supermodel skipped out on this year’s Met Gala was to direct her focus toward helping the people from her home state.

“She's been working tirelessly this past week to help her home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which is suffering from the most devastating flood it's ever had. She has family there and she's been consumed with worry,” the source said.
