Brewing storm likely to ruin another Southern California weekend
Another storm is brewing in the Pacific and will likely make its way to Southern California, ruining plans for another weekend.
“This weekend’s storm should be a little different in that we may not see as many thunderstorms but we could blanket Southern California Saturday with some decent rain,” KTLA Meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Monday.
High pressure will remain over the four-corners area for a few days but is expected to exit the region later this week and open the door for the storm to arrive.
“It looks like we will get more rain than we got this past weekend,” Henry said. “Possibly one to two inches for some areas.”
The instability with this system is expected to continue into Sunday and Monday so the Southland could see the possibility of rain on all three days.
The National Weather Service is leaving the door open for some thunderstorm activity from what they are describing as a “significant storm system.”

A foot of snow could fall on our resort areas above 6,000 to 7,000 feet.
The good news comes over the next few days when we should see lots of sunshine and highs mostly in the upper 60s and low 70s through Thursday.
Friday is when we begin to see ominous clouds and cooler temperatures arrive. “It is not good for your weekend plans,” Henry said.
