This "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" Moment With Peter Kavinsky Was Totally Unscripted

It was all Noah Centineo.

If you’ve been on the internet lately, you’ve likely seen the buzz around new Netflix rom-com To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, which has inspired praise both for its Asian-American representation with heroine Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) and her sisters, and for the sheer charisma of Lara Jean’s love interest: Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo). It’s unsurprising that viewers have fallen in love with Kavinsky, who frequently completes romantic gestures like driving across town to get Lara Jean her favorite Korean yogurt. But it turns out not every one of Peter K’s moves was scripted — one memorable moment was actually improvised by Noah himself.

Who could forget the cute scene where Peter is hanging out with Lara Jean and her little sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart) at their house watching Sixteen Candles? Well, many fans noticed that when Peter was getting ready to have a pillow fight with Kitty, he moves the bowl of popcorn between them to the floor to avoid making a mess. You’ve got to love someone who is playful, yet considerate enough to keep the living room clean while having fun. Turns out, Noah is a pretty considerate guy in real life, because that move was unscripted, according to Netflix’s See What’s Next Twitter account.

Although Peter has many other smooth moves in the movie, like twirling Lara Jean into him after having his hand in her pocket, this small gesture was definitely noticed by fans, who of course had major feelings after Netflix tweeted that moment was all Noah. One fan wrote, "Knew there was a reason we loved him. Thinking about how mad I would be the popcorn spilled on my couch 😂." Another added, "We love a man that cares about messes, an environmental king!"

Meanwhile, one fan tweeted pretty much what we all were thinking in response to the cute Noah trivia with “Even better, just give us the second movie already.”
