Boyfriend of Abilene mother also accused of sexually abusing children
ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The boyfriend of an Abilene mother previously arrested on child sex crime charges is also accused of sexually abusing children.
Michael Davis was booked into the Taylor County Jail earlier this week on two warrants for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child in connection to the allegations.
Karon Herold, Davis’ girlfriend, was previously arrested on a warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child as well.
Court documents state one child came forward to a trusted adult in May 2023, claiming that Davis was sexually abusing him.

When this trusted adult confronted Herold, the documents state she confessed to sexually abusing this child plus a second child, and admitted her boyfriend did as well.
The documents state Herold also said that she, “wasn’t sure if she was a good mother or not” because she had sexually abused the children.
Both children were under the age of 5 when the alleged abuse occurred.
Davis is being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $400,000 and Herold is being held on a $200,000 bond.
